It is in charge of the following :

• Executing surface wells and piezometers for the benefit of national and private institutions
• Executing surface wells in remote and underprivileged areas
• Acting as a price regulating body in the field of hydraulic drilling
• Contributing to the rural development taking charge of the water drilling programs throughout the country
• Training the executive staff specialized in hydraulic drilling
