The Company for the Exploitation of Northern Waters’ Channel and Conveyors is an industrial and commercial public institution which is financially autonomous coming under the authority of the Ministry of agriculture.
The SECADENORD is in charge of operating, managing, exploiting and maintaining the canal and supply pipes used to transfer the Sidi Salem dam’s waters from the Ichkeul lake and the extreme north to use sites and any other mission aiming at a better use of northern waters.
It is also in charge of the distribution and the selling of water to various bodies in charge of distributing it to consumers.
