Database on : Hill lakes.

Type of data
Digital, alphanumeric and cartographic data. This data base includes information on the location of references ( governorate, district, sector and x,y coordinates), programming year, main objective ( Farming, ground water refill, protection of infrastructures), water stock capacity, catchment area, water input, progress
( implemented, underway) structure cost, funding source, lake equipment ( equipped or not), used areas by crop type.

Collecting methodology and updating frequency
Data are collected within regional departments in a preset follow up card ( progress statement, filling and use follow up, they are checked before including them into the database. Data relating to the progress of works and the filling of hill lakes are collected on a monthly basis ; whereas the use follow up data are collected on a half-yearly base.

Data carrier
Digital data are managed through Excel sheets and cartographic projects are drafted using the Arcview software.
