Resources
The general department of water resources has two resource
centres called libraries A&B including 20000 national and international
bibliographic references.
National publications are located in library A and relate to research
works carried out in the framework of the management and use of the
country’s water resources : 18000 bibliographic references on
following topics :
Surface hydrology
hydrogeology
geology
climatology
quality
The stock of documents includes publications on various fields such
as soil sciences, water geophysics and chemistry. Library B includes
international references and books pertaining to water resources as
well as scientific and technical magazines.
Tools and techniques used to process information

Processing
The processing of books is based on the geographical filing of publications
with reference to the regions’ topographical codification. The
bibliographical description is set according to the international standard
on cataloguing (ISBD).
The whole stock is managed automatically in a database via the CDS/ISIS
software.
Dissemination
The information is disseminated as selective bibliographies
and answers to questions asked by various users ( pupils, students,
researchers, public and private companies …).
Consultation
Documents are for reference use only
for all visitors on a written application addressed to the Director
General of The Departent of water resources.
